Our Vision

At Godsgrace Orphanage Home, our vision is to provide a safe, loving, and nurturing home for children who have been abandoned, neglected, orphaned, homeless, or otherwise left without adequate care and support. We are committed to restoring hope and dignity to every child entrusted into our care by providing them with shelter, education, healthcare, emotional support, and godly guidance. Our mission goes beyond providing temporary accommodation—we strive to bridge the gap between childhood and responsible adulthood.

Unlike many care homes where children are expected to leave immediately upon reaching adulthood, we continue to mentor, guide, and support our children until they are emotionally, educationally, and financially prepared to stand independently. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to build a stable future, regardless of their background or circumstances.

Children’s Welfare Report

Over the past year, Godsgrace Orphanage Home has remained dedicated to ensuring that every child receives the care, protection, and opportunities they deserve. At the beginning of the reporting period, the orphanage was home to 12 children. As part of our commitment to finding permanent and loving family environments for children whenever possible:

  • In August of last year, one (1) child was successfully placed into a suitable family environment.
  • On 13th July, through the support and intervention of the Edo State Ministry, five (5) children were matched with suitable families where they can continue to grow in a secure and nurturing environment.

These successful placements represent significant milestones in our mission of giving every child the opportunity to experience the love, care, and stability of a family.

Current Status

Following these successful transitions, Godsgrace Orphanage Home currently cares for six (6) children. Our team continues to provide these children with:

  • Safe and comfortable accommodation.
  • Nutritious meals and proper healthcare.
  • Access to quality education.
  • Spiritual guidance and moral development.
  • Emotional support and counselling.
  • Life skills training and personal development.

We remain committed to raising every child with love, compassion, and purpose until they are fully equipped to become responsible, independent, and productive members of society.

Looking Ahead

Godsgrace Orphanage Home will continue to partner with government agencies, community leaders, churches, organizations, and compassionate individuals to ensure that every child receives the opportunity to thrive. We believe that every child deserves a future filled with hope, and with God’s grace, we will continue to transform lives—one child at a time.

Empowering Lives Beyond the Home

At GGOMBH, our impact extends beyond caring for children. We proudly provide employment opportunities to 10 dedicated staff members who help ensure the smooth running of our home. Additionally, we offer support to several widows in our community, empowering them to rebuild their lives and create a brighter future.

SAFEGUARDING POLICY

As you may be aware, there have been  a number of cases recently, where charities around the world have failed to ensure the safety of the children and vulnerable adults in their care. God’s Grace Orphanage and Motherless Babies Home Partners believes that everyone, at all times and  in all situations, has the right to dignity and to feel safe and protected from any situation or practice that could result in them being physically or psychologically damaged, regardless of their race, tribe, skin colour, ethnicity, gender and gender identity, religion, beliefs, sexual orientation, disability or age.

God’s Grace Orphanage and Motherless Babies Home have Partners/Trustees in England; as such we adhere strictly to the safeguard laws in England which is to protect children and vulnerable adults under our care.

God’s Grace Orphanage and Motherless Babies Home Partners recognizes that all trustees and officers are an integral part of the safeguarding process and that they have a responsibility to ensure that appropriate safeguarding policies and procedures are in place for the beneficiaries of the charity’s fund, even though those beneficiaries are in Nigeria and we support them indirectly by funding the work  of God’s Grace Orphanage and Motherless Babies Home, which is situated in southern part of Nigeria.

God’s Grace Orphanage and Motherless Babies Home Partners further recognizes that everyone has a responsibility to be vigilant about safeguarding issues and they may have to the appropriate people. God’s Grace Orphanage and Motherless Babies Home Partners has a process in a place for the reporting and handling of safeguarding issues. This can be found in our Safeguarding Policy
